Spam Settings

Anti-Spam Engine Status: Disabled
You are currently not using our FuseFilter Anti-SPAM engine, to enable this feature, please answer a few questions below.

Our Anti-Spam engine FuseFilter(sm) attempts to identify your E-mail messages as Spam or legitimate E-mail. It attempts this by examining the content of the message using a lengthy list of criteria that is commonly found in E-mail that is Spam. This method is called Bayesian-style matching. It is not an exact science allthough research shows that it works in 95 - 99% of cases.

Actions
You have the ability to enable one or more of the following actions based on how likely we detect the e-mail message to be Spam.
Send a validation request to the sender. This is a completely new approach to Spam Defense. This feature will require all senders to be humanly verified before allowing their e-mail to come into your account. If FuseFilter does not have a record of the senders e-mail address it will respond to the e-mail address asking them to verify that this e-mail address is valid and not machine generated. Once they have responded all future emails will be delivered without delay. While we are waiting for the sender to verify their e-mail address a copy of the message will be delivered to the Spam/Unverified directory within your FuseMail account. This service spans all accounts of FuseMail. So once any e-mail address has been verified by any user of FuseMail, they will never be asked to verify it again.
Forward to Spam Folder This feature will forward or move the email message into your Spam folder located within your account.
Discard Message (Excercise Caution) when using this feature. This feature will discard or remove the email message permently from FuseMail and not respond to the sender.

Excercise caution when changing the Spam sensitivity. You may cause unexpected results. After making a change, you will want to verify that FuseFilter is working the way you intended.
By changing to a more likely spam setting will cause less messages to be tagged as spam.
By changing to a less likely spam setting will cause more messages to be tagged as spam.

As you can see there are many options to eliminate spam from arriving in your inbox.

In this tutorial we will set up Validate all messages. This means that all people (who are not in your address book or on your White List) who send you an email will be sent an email asking them to verify that the email they sent was not spam.
